An Ikeja, Lagos State High Court on Tuesday granted permission to Mahmud Tukur, son of the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, to travel to Britain for business purposes.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the court also permitted Mahmud’s associate, Alex Ochonogor, to travel to the same country for the same reason.

They are standing trial along with their firm, Eterna Oil Plc, and Abdullahi Arisekola-Alao, son of prominent businessman, Alhaji Abdulazeez Arisekola-Alao.
Ruling on applications for permission filed by Mahmud and Ochonogor, Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo ordered the EFCC to release their international passports to enable them to travel.
Onigbanjo, however, ordered them to return the passports to the commission not later than June 16.
He adjourned the matter till June 27 for hearing of some pending applications filed by the accused persons.
