Conscious of the recent warning by the Independent national Electoral commission that politicians should desist from campaign ahead of 2015 election, posters of Nuhu Ribadu, bearing the logo of the newly registered All Progressive Congress Alliance, have flooded the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, though without specifying the office he’s interested in.
The posters of the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission were sighted in Garki Area 8 and Area 10. Ribadu, it will be recalled, contested the presidential election on the platform of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria in 2011.
Since INEC has warned about campaign before the scheduled time, Ribadu’s supporters, under the aegis of Concerned Youths, only wished Muslim faithful ‘Barka Da Sallah’ for the successful completion of 2013 Ramadan.
The newly-registered APC is an amalgamation of three major political parties, the Action Congress of Nigeria, the Congress for Progressive Change and All Nigeria Peoples Party, all now defunct. It is believed that former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, still has his eyes on the Presidency on the platform of the APC.
