Patriarch and veteran socialite, Prince Bode Oshinusi, is dead.
Oshinusi’s died on Thursday after a brief illness at an a highbrow hospital in Ikeja, Lagos.
The Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State blue-blood, who dominated the Lagos social scene for almost 50 years, celebrated his 80th birthday on May 24, 2015.
The crème de la crème of Lagos society converged at the party, which was held at Yard 158, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Lagos State.
The colour dictate of the day was red and yellow and the guests, especially the society women, all turned up looking their best.
The King of world beat, Sunny Ade, was on the bandstand to entertain the guests.
Since the news of his death broke, the deceased’s residence on John Olugbo Street, off Toyin Street, has been playing host to visitors, who came to condole with the family.
Prince Oshinusi is survived by his adorable wife, Alhaja Hafsat Baby Oshinusi, one of Nigeria’s most prominent society matriarchs, five children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The remains of Prince Oshinusi has been interred in Ijebu-Ode.
The third day Fidau will hold on Sunday in Lagos, while the eighth day Fidau will hold in Ijebu-Ode.
