The ousted Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dr. Adewale Omirin, said he and his colleagues elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress are ready to dialogue with the state Governor, Ayo Fayose.
Omirin, who spoke in reaction to the hands of fellowship extended to him and the 18 other members of the APC in the Ekiti State House of Assembly by Fayose, said since the governor has been the one causing the trouble, it would be easy to reconcile.
He said: “We are ready too for dialogue.
“If he is ready to toe the path of peace.
“He is the one causing trouble.
“He is the one that has brought inconvenience to us and our families.
“He has stopped our salaries and other entitlements.
“It is not that we don’t want to work with him, but he is the one refusing to allow peace to reign in the state.”
Fayose had on Saturday urged the aggrieved 19 APC lawmakers to come to the dialogue table for reconciliation.
The lawmakers had expressed their desire to impeach Fayose, thus leading to tension in the state.
