Yobo close to Norwich loan deal

Super Eagles non-playing captain, Joseph Yobo, is set to resuscitate his career with a loan move to Norwich City, The Eagle Online has gathered.
The Premier League side has however entered tinto. alks with Turkish Super Lig club, Fenerbahce, over a deal to sign the defender.
The Nigerian, formerly of Everton, has been plying his trade in Turkey for 18 months after leaving the Toffees as a free agent in the summer of 2012.
A post on Fenerebahce’s twitter feed stated that negotiations between the two have begun, with the deal known to be a season long loan.
Norwich have since also confirmed that negotiations are taking place.
Norwich boss, Chris Hughton, has recently been a man under pressure with fans unhappy about performances and being involved in a relegation battle that has engulfed eleven clubs this season.
If the deal is completed on time, Yobo could come straight into the squad for Norwich’s match away at Cardiff in a relegation six pointer.
Hughton has been looking to strengthen his defence, with his side boasting a goal difference of -17.
Despite this, the Canaries sit 12th, just five points above the dreaded dotted line.
Yobo, 33, made 259 appearances in England with Everton from 2002-2010, scoring eight league goals and 10 in total for the Toffees.
For Fenerbahce, he has made a total of 100 appearances in all competitions‎.
