YCE laments Associated Airlines deaths

The Yoruba Council of Elders on Friday commiserated with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the ill-fated aircraft belonging to the Associated Aviation Limited, which crashed in Lagos while conveying the remains of a former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, 20 passengers and crew members to Akure, Ondo State.
In a statement endorsed by its Secretary-General, Chief Idowu Sofola (SAN), the group, which broke up its meeting chaired by its Chairman, General Adeyinka Adebayo (rtd), when it heard the sad news, noted: “Yoruba Council of Elders received with shock and and deep sorrow the unfortunate air crash.
“We commiserate with the family of Chief Olu Falae, whose son, Deji, was among the victims.
“Our thoughts and prayers also go to the families of other passengers in the unfortunate incident.
“We pray for the speedy recovery of those who were injured.”
