Ahead of the 2015/2016 session, Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi has dropped 15 players and plans to recruit five new ones.
Abbas Shehu, the spokesman of the club, stated this on Wednesday in Bauchi in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria.
Shehu explained that the club had invited 15 players from various clubs for interview in order to select five players that would join the club.
He further explained 15 players have been dropped from the 40 players that played for the club during the 2014/2015 season.
Shehu said the management of the club decided to sign 30 players for the 2015/2016 season as against 40 players signed last season.
Hesaid the club also decided to retain Abdu Maikaba as Technical Adviser.
Shehu said the club has engaged one Dr. Ahmed Alhaji, a psychologist, and Awalu Jada to assist the team.
He assured supporters of the club that the team, which placed fourth last season, would not disappoint when the new season commences in February.
