The Chairman of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club, Alhaji Abdul Adama, has said that the club will not appeal against the four-match touchline ban handed to Coach Erasmus Onuh Olottah, following his reaction after the match with Warri Wolves in Warri, which his club lost by a lone goal.
According to Adama: “We don’t just appeal against the sanction. Something really happened, which the coach reacted against. But that does not warrant such an unsportsmanly act.
“The motto of our club is discipline and we would not allow any player, coach or member of the management to put up any act that will portray us in bad light.
“We are not happy. We consider the act unsportsmanlike. It’s against the rule and I must say that we deserve the ban and fine.”
Adama also added that as the club pays the fine, Olottah will also be fined by the club so as to let him know how the club feels about the incidence.
He apologised to the referees and other stakeholders on behalf of the club.
With just a minute to go in the match against Wolves in Warri, a controversial goal was scored against ABS FC and Olottah’s reaction earned him the sanction.
Olottah was not on the bench in the match with Shooting Stars Sport Club in Ilorin and Niger Tornadoes in Minna, with the two matches raking in four points for the club.
He will also not be on the bench in the next two matches.
