Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, has revealed the game plan he believes Burkina Faso will employ against Nigeria when the two teams meet in Nelspruit on Monday in the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
The former Super Eagles captain was speaking at the pre-game press conference, when he outlined what he suspects the Burkinabes will do and explained how he planned to counter it.
“Burkina Faso will probably play 4-4-2 like us, and they will try to bully us in midfield,” Keshi started.
He continued: “We know they are aware we will have better ball skills so, they will try to out-muscle us and get the players angry.
“That is why I have told my players that discipline is key.
“This is one game that tactics and skills alone will not win.
“We must be focused and disciplined.”
The Eagles have never lost to Burkina Faso and the Burkinabes will remember the 7-1 thrashing they received from the Super Eagles at the main bowl of the National Stadium in a World Cup qualifier several years ago.
