Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, popularly known as Shi’ites, for the second day running engaged security operatives in a battle in Abuja.
This time around, the battle ground was the Federal Secretariat in Abuja.
On Tuesday, the Shi’ites, led by detained Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, had attacked security men at the entrance of the National Assembly.
On Thursday, the sect members were overpowered by the police as their attempt to enter the Federal Secretariat was scuttled.
