The Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman, has joined other prominent Nigerians in congratulating a former Governor of Lagos State, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, on his 60th birthday.
In a statement signed by his Media Assistant, Michael Jegede, the senator noted that the national leader of Action Congress of Nigeria, has contributed in no small measure to the growth and development of democracy in Nigeria.
He described the Asiwaju of Lagos as a courageous and fearless leader, who has made his mark in the country’s political firmament.
Abatemi-Usman, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, added that Tinubu laid the foundation for the tremendous achievenments recorded so far by the incumbent Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola.
According to the senator, who will be marking his 41st birthday on May 6, 2012: “Tinubu is a quintessential leader, with great intellectual prowess and political sagacity. I believe that he has made his mark politically and he is indeed one of those to be reckoned with, as far as the political advancement of our dear country is concerned.”
He prayed to God to continue to protect and guide Tinubu, while wishing him more years of fruitful service to humanity.
