Top winners, all of whom were present or represented at the venue of the event in Lagos, were presented with gifts that included tens of high-capacity laptops, top-notch headphones, free 3-month uLesson coding courses, 480-gigabyte internet data for one year, branded travel suite cases, unique keepsake hoodies, thermal flasks, school bags, among many others.

During a recent visit by students and staff from the Industrial Relations & HRM Unit of Covenant University to the SystemSpecs office in Victoria Island, Lagos, the Managing Director of SystemSpecs Technology, Demola Igbalajobi, said intelligent, committed employees of good character have played a huge role in helping the company overcome various challenges in its 30 years of existence.

According to Oluwasegun Adesanya, Group Head, Corporate Services, SystemSpecs, the extension is in response to the call by many participants, parents, proprietors of schools and other stakeholders from across the country who claim the second term holidays and overlapping activities have challenged the adequate supervision and coordination of entries’ submission.

Delivering the guest lecture during the recently held 10th matriculation ceremony of McPherson University, Ogun State, Obaro said “Today needs thinkers so that we can be relevant tomorrow. It has been said that knowledge in most fields doubles about every five years. You must therefore have your eyes and imagination one step ahead of today, or your skills will be a mismatch for the new world of tomorrow.”

The organisation also announced the appointment of former Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission and chairman of MTN Nigeria, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, as Chairman who takes over from Nigeria’s former Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Dr. Christopher Kolade. Kolade has retired after 15 years of leading the company through exceptional growth.

Other members of the subcommittee include the Secretary, ICTLOCA,  Adebunmi Adeola Akinbo; Manager, Members Relations at Computer Professional (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN),  Elizabeth Adekunle; Chief Operating Officer, Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA), Eyitayo Iyortim; and Chief Consultant, TechLaw Development Services, Inye Kemabonta.
