Abe stated this at Kpor, Headquarters of Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State while receiving an award as an Outstanding Unique Leader during the LGA’s 30th Anniversary Celebration.
Abe, in a statement he personally signed titled: “Rivers APC, no place for violence: It’s time to move forward” insisted that a political disagreement does not amount to a land dispute neither a communal riot in which there is no meeting point. Therefore, he called on all members of the party in Rivers State to give peace a chance.
Abe, who stated this during an interactive session with members of the party in Port Harcourt, described Amaechi’s declaration as a Greek gift to the Riverine people and a poisoned chalice, which is bound to fail.

Rotimi Amaechi, invaded the venue of a peaceful gathering of APC members in Buguma City, with dangerous weapons, inflicting serious injuries on several persons, including women.
