The 2022 graduates are the fourth batch of FIPL’s Entry level engineering programme, which began in 2012 in line with Sahara Power Group’s commitment to training and empowering young and vibrant engineers towards adding impetus to the process of transforming the power sector.
Items donated include bags of rice, garri, noodles, potable water, toiletries, mattresses, sugar, cooking oil, bottled drinking water, beverages, and mosquito nets, amongst others.
Egbin, a subsidiary of the Sahara Power Group, has so far inducted over 200 graduate trainee engineers as it continues to “proactively, responsibly and sustainably shape Nigeria’s power narrative for socio-economic advancement and industrialization,” said Kola Adesina, Group Managing Director, Sahara Power Group.
The power generating plant is one of the operating entities of Sahara Power Group, which is an affiliate of Sahara Group.
The president describes Adesina as a consummate entrepreneur with experience that traverses academia, finance, energy, trade and diplomacy.

The conference, scheduled to hold on May 15, 2018, will focus on: “Repositioning the Energy Sector for Growth,” and will attract experts across various sub-sectors to share insights on unlocking opportunities for growth in the sector.
