The VC of the 49-year-old institution made this known during a press conference ahead of the convocation ceremony.

The directive was contained in a statement issued by the university’s Registrar, Gabriel Egbe, on Monday.

Obi gave the assurance Wednesday in Calabar when officials of the NBA, led by the first National Vice President, Rose Bala, paid her a courtesy visit.

Obi, who gave the advice during an interaction with newsmen Tuesday in Calabar, urged the students to resist any attempt to be used by politicians as thugs.

Agindi was a third year student of the institution at the department of Library and Information Science.
