The Population Commission had earlier announced that the nationwide census will hold from May 3 to 7, 2023.

Director-General of National Population Commission (NPC), Nasir Isa-Kwarra, disclosed this to State House Correspondents after a meeting of the Council of State presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday.

Speaker of the House, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, gave the advice, saying the exercise should be suspended until the country is safe enough.
