The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has called on Nigerians to continue to pray for a peaceful and successful general election in the country.

Ahead the official inauguration of Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola as the new Governor of Osun State on Tuesday, 27 November, 2018, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has sent a message of congratulation to the incoming Governor, his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the All Progressives Congress for the victory at the polls.
On his election as the Speaker of the 8th Lagos State House of Assembly on June 8, 2015, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, assured Lagosians that he will preside over a Legislative House they will be proud of. Obasa assured that under his Speakership, the Lagos State House of Assembly will always rise far and above the “common standard of excellence”.
Obasa also urged the people of the country to desist from actions and utterances that can negatively affect the peaceful co-existence of the country.
Obasa said this in his Eid-el-Kabir message to Nigerians, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Musbau Rasak.
Obasa, in his Democracy Day message to Nigerians, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Musbau Rasak, on Tuesday, urged government at all levels to redouble their efforts on the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.
Obasa’s message is contained in a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Musbau Rasak, on this year’s Children’s Day celebration.
In the message, Obasa assured the workers that the All Progressives Congress at all levels is committed to putting in place measures, programmes and policies that will not only improve their standard of living but will also enhance their well being.
According to the Lagos Assembly Speaker, without Tinubu’s pioneering efforts at raising the standard of governance for the state, Lagos would not have risen to this greater height it is enjoying today.
The Speaker’s commendation was contained in his New Year message released in Lagos on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Musbau Rasak.
The Speaker also assured Nigerians that the All Progressives Congress administration at both national and state levels is committed to the welfare and improvement in the standard of living of the people of the country.
Obasa, in a message by his Chief Press Secretary, Musbau Rasak, stated that the state in particular and Nigeria as a whole will miss Akinola’s honesty and commitment to national development.
