Abubakar stated this when the two governors paid him sallah homage at his palace in Sokoto during the Eid Fitri.

The Sultan said this on Thursday at the opening of the fourth quarterly meeting of the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council.
The summit, according to the organizers, will also provide new perspectives to the issues of equity, inclusion and economic prosperity for Nigerians and in the end, stimulate the process of national healing, understanding and progress.
Acknowledging the role of the Sultan in promoting peace and unity across the nation, Kalu applauded the celebrant for his objective counsel on national issues, adding that his fatherly role in advocating religious harmony is worthy of commendation and emulation.
The MURIC Director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, in Lagos on Friday also felicitated with the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, on the occasion.
