The National Executive Committee of the Young Progressives Party recently met in Abuja to review the just concluded general elections as well as other national issues.

In a joint statement signed by the National Chairmen of the YPP and the ANN, Comrade Bishop Amakiri and Emanuel Dania respectively, both parties said the coalition became necessary following the need to wrest power from the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming general elections

The Young Progressives Party has reacted to the claims by Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed that the opposition is mobilizing armed bandits and Boko Haram insurgents to perpetrate massive acts of violence across the country during the general elections.
