The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Kano DisCo, Kaduna Electric and APLE Electric were disconnected by the TCN.
The collapse, which occurred early in the afternoon on Wednesday, was confirmed by two of the electricity distribution companies in the country.
Ibrahim Shawai, Head, Corporate Communications of the company, stated this in a statement on Friday in Kano.

Sani Bala-Sani, Head, Corporate Communications, Kano Electricity Distribution Company, said one of the two 60 MVA transformers in the station was burnt down.
Gwamna said: “While Jigawa Government is owing us over N1 billion, Katsina State Government and Kano State Government are owing N700 million and N600 million.”
The minister made the disclosure on Monday in Kano at the 18th Monthly Power Sector Stakeholders Meeting hosted by Kano Electricity Distribution Company.
Already, no fewer than 10,000 houses had been disconnected by a Special Task Force set up by the company to carry out the exercise.
