The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria has confirmed the death of its President, Francis Olabode Johnson.

According to PENGASSAN, these oil and gas companies are notorious in the practice of casualization, contract staffing, outsourcing and off-shoring of jobs as well as other unfair labour practices and under-hand tactics in their Labour relations activities.

The Federal Government has been advised to improve the situations in the oil producing states, where the chunk of the nation’s revenue is generated.

Ogiemwonyi Jnr., who emerged unopposed, was unanimously chosen as the Chairman through consensus by delegates during the Branch 5th Triennial Delegates Conference in Lagos on Friday.

According to Olabode-Johnson, the current fight against pipeline vandalism and crude oil theft in the region has not recorded the desired success and needed to be intensified as the act has continued
