The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has taken delivery of water equipment worth N1.4 billion for the ongoing rehabilitation work at Ero Dam, a project which he said would provide potable water for 10 local government areas of the State.

The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has flagged off the rehabilitation of Ero Dam and replacement of transmission main pipelines with an expectation that the project would address water shortage and curb open defecation.
According to Dr. Khairy Al-Jamal, who led the World Bank team on the 3rd Urban National Water Sector Reform Project in a meeting with Governor Kayode Fayemi on Thursday, the N3.7 billion water project is expected to help the State address its water challenges as well as curb open defecation.
