It was learnt that the office situated at Ibeagwa town, was attacked Sunday night by invaders who set the fire at about 11 pm.

Declaring the results at Isi-Uzo council headquarters in Ikem, INEC Collation Officer for the by-election, Chukwuemeka Nwachukwu, said that Ugwueze polled 11,041 votes to defeat her close rival, Ejiofor Okwor, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 2,293 votes.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that INEC is conducting a by-election in Isi-Uzo State Constituency following the death of the member representing the area, Chijioke Ugwueze, early this year.
The commission’s officials in Enugu State received the materials in the presence of electoral stakeholders, political parties and the media at about 2pm.
Speaking with newsmen at Ijebu II Unit 006 Ward 5, Onoamadu said,”We commend the splendid conduct of the electorate as well as security agencies.”
