It took the combined hard work of the brothers to get their sister off the back of her fellow widow. They told their sister pointedly that she too could face the same accusation she was levelling against their sister-in-law, since her husband was deceased too.
The NGO, CBA Foundation, its dedicated and passionate staff, supporters and donors came out in their numbers on two dedicated days in December to give widows in selected communities in Lagos and Anambra States a treat during the festive season.
The initiative which kicked off on Saturday 4th December 2021, catered to the financial, mental, and physical health needs of 165 widows across 6 communities in Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos. The communities include: Badore, Iberekodo, Museyo, MagbonAlade, OkunolaIlado, and MagbonIga.
In every society, there are women of all ages whose husbands have gone to the great beyond, most especially the vulnerable ones. The underprivileged widows and their vulnerable children constitute a significant component of every country’s population.
The foundation expressed its support to the widespread cry on the need for the Nigeria Police Force to be uplifted and modernised to promote its efficiency in the discharge of its primary duties of protecting lives and properties of all residents in the country, irrespective of nationality.
