The National Chairman of ADC, Chief Ralphs Nwosu, announced the party’s decision at its 61st National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

Ogungbemi stated this at the end of the party congress and election of new executives at the secretariat of the party on Monday in Akure.
This is coming as the party insisted that retired Justice Folahanmi Olamide Oloyede is its deputy governorship candidate for the coming governorship election in Osun State.
Oseni-Gomez made this known at a news conference in Abeokuta on Thursday.
The African Democratic Congress said its attention has been drawn to protests by the people of Osun State against the omission of the name of their preferred Deputy Governorship candidate, retired Justice Folahanmi Olamide Oloyede, on the Independent National Electoral Commission’s candidates’ list for the September 22, 2018 governorship election in Osun State.
The reorganisation was said to be in line with the party’s commitment to developing a sustainable political platform to serve as a model in the country that will produce credible leaders, who will take Nigeria to its preferred destination.
The Chairman, ADC, Ogun State, Dr. Gbolade Osinowo, said in a statement on Wednesday that the lawmakers had indicated, with their defection, that they were sorry for being part of a party that had misled Nigerians and caused them pain for so long.
The lawmakers announced their defection during plenary on Tuesday.
A leader of the group, Wasiu Olatunbosun, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria in a telephone interview in Ibadan on Monday.
The meeting, which was held behind closed doors for about 30 minutes, was believed to be ahead of 2019 election and way forward for the Yoruba race.
Musa said: “They have been calling me for cancellation and reversal of results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, of which Barrister Simon Bako Lalong was declared winner, having won convincingly in the undisputed 11 local government areas in the April 11 election
This came barely 24 hours after the presidential candidate of the party, Ambassador Mani Ibrahim Ahmad, and the Chairman of the party and the gubernatorial flag-bearer in Plateau State, Hon. Sabiu Musa, flagged-off their campaign in the state
