Represented by his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the governor made the appeal on Tuesday during a maiden stakeholders meeting on the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for the Lagos 4th Mainland Bridge in Ikeja.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, during an interactive session with journalists, said the State Government will be hosting a live ceremony on Wednesday to open the bids from prospective firms that expressed interests in the construction of the Fourth Mainland Bridge.
He said: “Many investors have shown interest in the actualization of our dream for the 4th Mainland Bridge, which will run from Ajah to Ikorodu to Isawo and berth at Ojodu, Ikeja back to the Ibadan Expressway.
The PCC chairman further suggested that there should be 11 lanes of dual carriageway, starting from the proposed port, and creating a Fourth Mainland Bridge, which would empty the traffic through Lagos metropolis
