Stoke City offers Osaze N1b lifeline

Stoke City have been quoted as offering £4 million (N1 billion) for
West Bromwich outcast, Osaze Peter Odemwingie.
Although the Potters are nervous about the signing because of his
indiscipline last season, boss Mark Hughes wants him at the Britannia.
Odemwingie’s West Bromwich career is over and Stoke are prepared to
offer him a lifeline.
The fee is big money for the forward, but Stoke boss Mark Hughes is
ready to make another push for him as the transfer deadline draws
closer.
Meanwhile, Swansea City are unlikely to continue their pursuit of the
Nigerian international after refusing to meet West Bromwich Albion’s
£4 million asking price.
Odemwingie, 32, is up for sale following his disciplinary problems at
the Hawthorns last season, but Wales on Sunday understands that the
Swans are only willing to pay £2.5 million for the Nigerian.
