Soldiers on Saturday allegedly opened fire on members of the Shiite sect in Nigeria who are followers of fiery cleric, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky.
The soldiers were said to have shot at the members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria in Zaria, Kaduna State.
According to available information, the Zakzaky followers were shot at the Islamic Movement’s Centre, Hussainiyyah Baqeeyatullah, along Polo Ground, PZ, Zaria.
The soldiers are said to have cordoned off the Centre.
They were still there as at press time on Saturday.
