Soldiers kill 20 Boko Haram terrorists

Twenty Boko Haram terrorists were killed on Friday night during an encounter with officers and men of the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Borno State.
A soldier, however, lost his life during the shootout with the insurgents in Gwoza, Borno State, while three others were wounded.
The spokesperson of the 7 Division of the Nigeria Army, Maiduguri, Muhammad Dole, said the soldiers took the battle to the insurgents along the Gwoza-Bita Damboa Road, targeting Bita town.
Dole said Bita was a Boko Haram stronghold from where the members launched attacks on isolated villages and motorists along the road between Gwoza and Damboa.
Dole said: “During the encounter, 20 Boko Haram terrorists were killed, scores of vehicles and 50 motorcycles were destroyed.
“A solider was killed, and three other soldiers were wounded in the operation.”
