Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo has completed a move to Rangers.
The 21-year-old was pictured arriving at the Gers’ Hummel Training Centre as the Rangers players reported back for pre-season training.
Ojo will become the third Liverpool player to have made the temporary move to Rangers since Reds legend Steven Gerrard took over as manager at the start of last season following on from Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria.
The move will be the fifth loan stint of the winger’s career, having spent last season in France with Reims following stints with Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham.
A statement from Liverpool tonight read: “Liverpool Football Club can confirm Sheyi Ojo has agreed a season-long loan move to Rangers, subject to international clearance.
“The 21-year-old will spend the upcoming campaign in the Scottish Premiership under the management of Reds legend Steven Gerrard.”
Rangers meanwhile said they were “delighted” with the signing.
Despite the arrival of Ojo, Rangers are still interested in re-signing Kent on loan following the success of his move to the club last season.
Rangers are expecting to find out whether he will be allowed depart again temporarily once Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has taken a look at him in pre-season.
Aston Villa and Leeds United are also interested in the winger, but he’s believed to favour a return to Rangers.
Ojo has made 13 senior appearances for Liverpool since joining the club as a teenager from MK Dons, scoring one goal, while Kent has one senior Reds appearance to his name.
