The Senate on Thursday swore-in the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, as the representative of Imo West Senatorial District.
This was just as Okorocha denied putting Independent National Electoral Commission Officials under duress to be declared as Senator.
He wondered why he would put the INEC officials under duress when you police and Department of State Services operatives in attendance.
He challenged INEC to come out with any evidence to justify the allegation.
He added that INEC would have set up a committee to look into the matter immediately.
Speaking on his purpose in the Senate, he said his concern is about destruction of life in the North East, Zamfara and Sokoto States.
He also said he will ensure propagation of free education as he did as Governor of Imo State.
He advised the South East region to build political bridge across the country.
