The Senate on Tuesday confirmed Justice Mahmud Mohammed as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Justice Mohammed, who was grilled by the Senate, supported the separation of the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation from that of the Minister of Justice.
He explained that Minister of Justice is purely political, while the Attorney General of the Federation has do with the administration of justice.
