Nigeria striker and Real Sociedad new boy, Sadiq Umar has opened his goal account at the Spanish club and in the process dented Atletico Madrid’s LaLiga title push.
Alvaro Morata gave Atletico an early lead against Sociedad as he tapped home in the 5th minute following a near post corner from Yannick Carrasco that was not claimed by Alex Remiro.
Umar Sadiq equalised for Socieded in the 55th minute as he nodded in from close range, there was a quick VAR check for offside, but he was just on.
The Nigerian then thought he had given his side the lead in the 77th minute but his chip was ruled offside and that was that as the game ended with honours even.
