A primary school in Yobe State, Damagum Primary School, in Damagum Local Government Area, has been gutted by fire from explosions around it.
The school was bombed on Monday by gunmen who had earlier attacked a police station in the town.
The attack on the police station was, however, repelled, with the attackers beating a retreat.
The spokesperson of the Yobe State Police Command, Toyin Gbadegesin, confirmed the incidents.
Gbadegesin said another attempt to attack a worship cantre was equally foiled.
He said the attack on the police station started at 1:05am alongside that on the worship centre.
The PPRO said they “were successfully repelled by the police but no casualty was recorded while the gunmen fled into the bush.”
