The immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has reported at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja as he promised.
Fayose arrived at the EFCC office in Wuse 2 accompanied by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode.
Wearing a customised T-shirt, with the inscription: “EFCC I’m Here,” the former governor had a bag on him as he had earlier vowed.
Fayose had at a send off by the Peoples Democratic Party said he would go to the EFCC with his night wear and pillowcase in case he is detained.
Wike and Fani-Kayode told the EFCC operatives not to abuse Fayose’s rights.
Before Fayose’s arrival, some protesters had called for fair hearing for him.
