Na’Allah to Saraki: I am not part of political solution to your trial

The Deputy Leader of the Senate, Bala Ibn Na’ Allah, has denied being part of the political solution to rescue the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, who is on trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over alleged false declaration of assets.
Na’Allah disclosed this on Thursday at the Senate plenary session.
He raised this through Point of Order by calling the attention of the leadership of the Senate to a story that was published in the national dallies on October 21.‎
He e‎xplained that he stands for justice, fairness and equity, but not to get any juicy position as reported by the newspapers.
According to the report in the newspapers, a fresh proposition has been placed before him that could pave the way for a soft landing for Saraki if he will toe the party line.
In a backroom deal being brokered by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, among whom is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogora, the Senate president is being offered a “political solution” to his trial for false declaration of assets at the tribunal.
Should he accept it, this may pave the way for the emergence of Senator Ahmad Lawan as the new Senate Leader and Senator George Akume as his deputy.
But Na’Allah said he has nothing to do with any such development.
