The last has not been heard about the re-organisation in the camp of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan.
Hours after the club’s Chief Coach was tactically suspended by the management, indications have shown that many others will be sent packing.
Top on the list of those to be sacked is the former Super Eagles star, Mutiu Adepoju, who is currently the club’s manager.
Also, two assistant coaches in the club have been penciled down for sack in a move to put the club on a winning track.
A member of the management of the club, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said: “Some people in the club believe that they are sacred cows but surely we will send them packing.
“They would have gone the way of Allen but we stayed action because there will be vacuum.”
Meanwhile, the board of 3SC has stated that a reorganisation of the team was imminent if the club is to return to its lost glory.
The Chairman of the board, Toyin Akintunde, made this known in a signed statement after an emergency meeting of the board on Monday in Ibadan.
He noted that the board was concerned about the poor performance of the team in recent time, adding that it was determined to make meaningful changes that would turn around the club’s fortunes.
Akintunde, in the statement, confirmed the decision taken that the Head Coach, Festus Allen, should step aside while Coaches Tunde Odubola and Hakeem Busari have been mandated to hold forth pending the time a full reorganisation would take place.
“Coach Allen has been asked to step aside for now as a result of the poor performance of the team. He was earlier given a four-match ultimatum in which to steer the team back on course but it got worse. The decision was in the best interest of the team. As a board our mission is to make sure that everything works well and hopefully we intend to get it right.”
Akintunde however appealed to fans and supporters of the club to keep supporting it, adding that their support was needed at this trying time.
He noted that far reaching decisions would be taken in the bid to enhance the team’s performance, promising that by the grace of God the team would start doing well again.
Other board members at the meeting were Ade Somefun, Tunde Anifowose Kelani, Bayo Ogunleke Adedokun and Richard Taiwo.
