The Chief Executive Officer of Tresbone, Chief Steven Ukpabi, has gifted the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission for the Abia State March 18, 2023 governorship election, Prof. Nnenna Nnennaya-Oti, a Prado Jeep.
The realtor, who is said to be from Ututu, Arochukwu Ancient Kingdom, announced the gift on his Facebook page.
The Jeep is said to be worth N30 million, Daily Review, which reported the development, said.
The Eagle Online recalls that Nnennaya-Oti, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State, insisted on doing what was right during the governorship election won by the candidate of the Labour Party, Alex Otti.
She said she had come under pressure over the poll, but would do what her conscience tells her, act as a mother and let her calling as a pastor reflect.
She said: “I shall stand squarely and unapologetically on these principles.
“The people’s votes and mandate shall stand.
“The pastor and the mother in me will not permit me to do anything that will adversely affect the future of our children.”
Revealing the gift on Facebook, Ukpabi wrote: “For Your Outstanding Service To The People Of Abia, I Hereby Request For This Prado To Be Delivered To Mrs Nnenna Nnennaya Oti immediately It Arrives Nigeria Next Month.”
