Lagos State University, Ojo will confer an Honorary Doctorate on the former governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi on Thursday, 22 June, 2023.
The immediate past governor of Ekiti State will receive the award of Doctor of Letters (Human Rights, National Integration and African Security Development).
According to a statement, the award is in recognition of Fayemi’s selfless service to humanity in the areas of protecting human rights, promoting national integration and ensuring Africa is secure and developed.
The conferment will take place on the said date at the main campus of the University along Lagos-Badagry Expressway Ojo, Lagos. His Excellency Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, who doubles as the Visitor to the University, will be physically present at the ceremony.
