Nigeria’s popular musician, Burna Boy, has offered reasons why he left after a fan jumped on the stage while he was performing at the Greater Lagos Countdown 2025.
According to a viral video seen by The Eagle Online, the fan jumped on the stage as the Grammy Award winning star was performing.
Though his security man quickly pushed the fan off the stage, Burna Boy dropped the microphone and left the stage.
Explaining the rationale for this a few hours after the incident, he wrote on his Instagram Story on Wednesday: “It was a free show.

“I was supposed to do 10mins and did almost an hour.
“Everybody knows my rule about getting on stage and startling me when I’m performing.
“I had an amazing time with Lagos state last night.
“Don’t jump on my stage like that.
“I got PTSD.
“I love you all.
“Happy New Year.”
