Lagos conducts test into JSS-1 on June 21

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board says it will conduct placement tests into Junior Secondary School 1 for the 2014/2015 academic session on June 21.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Gbolahan Daodu, on Monday in Lagos.
It quoted Daodu as saying while addressing members of Committee on the Placement Test that the test would hold in some designated centres across the state.
The statement emphasised that only primary six pupils in both public and private schools were eligible to sit for the examination.
It urged parents and guardians to register their children/wards through their respective schools at the Lagos State Examination Board, Agege.
The statement said that only candidates who obtained 50 per cent cumulative pass mark in English Language and Mathematics would seat for the examination.
It added that pupils who failed to sit for the exam would not be admitted into any public junior secondary school in the state.
The statement advised parents and guardians to register their children early because registration closes on May 16.
It reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensure quality education for its citizens.
