A youth group has drummed support for Prince Abubakar Audu to emerge as the governor of Kogi State.
Audu is the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress for the upcoming governorship election in Kogi State.
The youth group, operating under the aegis of Plateau Campaign Organization for Prince Abubakar, said Audu was better positioned to run the state successfully.
The spokesperson of the group, Gift Zaki, said this during a media briefing.
In a statement read at the briefing on Thursday at the Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, Zaki commended the candidate of the APC for his transformation agenda and youths empowerment projects in Kogi State.
Zaki said with the record of achievements during his first tenure as the governor, including the construction of the state university in Ayingba, there was no doubt that Audu sould do better if given another opportunity.
She called on the students to rally their support for him so that the state will experience another purposeful leadership that can change their lives.
Zaki charged the people of Kogi State to come out enmass and vote for Audu, who she described as a grassroots mobilizer.
She tasked the youths to shun youth restiveness and embrace peaceful coexistence because peace is the bedrock of development the world over.
