President Goodluck Jonathan has nominated the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Osita Chidoka, as a minister.
Jonathan conveyed the news to the Senate on Thursday, seeking his screening and confirmation.
The President also nominated Suleiman Abubakar from Kwara State for confirmation by the Senate as a minister.
If confirmed, Chidoka will be filling the slot of Anambra State in the Federal Executive Council.
He will be replacing a former Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, who was recently sacked by Jonathan.
Abubakar will be filling the slot of Kwara State, which became vacant as a result of the sack of Bolaji Abdullahi by Jonathan.
Abdullahi was until the last cabinet reshuffle the Minister of Sports.
