Inter ends Mikel chase

Serie A giants, Inter Milan, have ended their interest in landing Nigeria and Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel, this summer.
Reports in Italy have it that Inter’s management believes the Nigerian valuation is on the high as the Blues were willing to offload the player for €7 million.
The Nerazzurri however fortified their midfield with Yann M’Villa, Gary Medel and Rene Krhin who are new arrivals at the club.
However, according to the Evening Standard, there has not been much solid interest in the defensive midfielder, with Chelsea now preparing to hold on to the 27-year-old.
The arrival of Cesc Fabregas this summer and Nemanja Matic have pushed Mikel down the pecking order.
Mikel joined Chelsea from Lyn in 2006.
