The Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has concluded arrangements to introduce drug-revolving fund scheme and also renovate all the General Hospitals in the state.
Al-Makura disclosed this to The Eagle Online on Tuesday while kicking off the distribution of mosquito nets in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
Apprehensive by the spate of malaria outbreak in the state, the governor disclosed that his government would do everything humanly possible to ameliorate the menace of diseases.
“If we succeed in our productive efforts to curtail the disease through intervention measures such as the long lasting insecticide, we shall have a drastic action in expendable forms to address the problem,”
Almakura stated.
He said government would continue to intensify efforts in curbing the menace of diseases.
The governor also applauded the efforts of the United States Agency for International Development, the Federal Ministry of Health and other development partners for coming to the assistance of the state during the outbreak of diseases.
