Hosts, Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, on Sunday defeated Kaduna United FC 1-0 in a 2013/2014 Glo Premier League Week 18 match.
Osaguna Ighodaro scored the only goal of the Nigeria Professional Football League match in 67th minute to secure the three points for the Flying Antelopes.
Speaking after the match, the Technical Adviser of Kaduna United, Hassan Abubakar, said his team was not lucky against Rangers.
Abubakar said: “If we had utilised the two scoring chances which presented themselves in the first half, the story would have been different.
“We gave our best in the game.
“It is just that luck was not on our side.
“As for the match officiating, it was a good one.”
Abubakar however expressed regrets that his team did not pick a point from the match in spite of the good officiating by the central referee and his assistants.
He said: “In fact, we paid for our failure to take advantage of the home team’s sluggish start, which could have helped us to be 2-0 up before the break.
“But that is football.
“We have to take it up from here and get a good result in our next match.”
