Giwa’s ‘NFF’ unleashes dead Ref on Warri Wolves

The Nigerian football crisis was taken to a ridiculous level on Wednesday as the Chris Giwa faction of the Nigeria Football Federation appointed a dead referee to officiate the match day 13 Nigeria Professional League tie involving Warri Wolves and Giwa FC.
The faction in a letter sent to the league organizers, the League Management Company, appointed late Wale Akinsanya (Oyo) to take charge of the Warri Wolves, Giwa FC clash in Warri this weekend.
Akinsanya is to be assisted by Tope O. (Osun) as AR1 and Adeleke M (AR2), while Peter Efozia (Delta) is to serve as reserve referee.
A board member of the “NFF” faction, Adama Yahaya, signed the match appointment letter addressed to the LMC Chief Operation Officer.
LMC’s image maker, Harry Iwuala, however pointed out that referee appointed for the Warri Wolves, Giwa game died January 22 this year during a FIFA Cooper test in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
“See for yourself, the appointment of late Wale Ainsanya by the Giwa NFF for the match between Warri Wolves and Giwa FC in Warri,” Iwuala wrote.
