The Federal Road Safety Commission in Kano State has confirmed the death of two female officials of the state Hisbah Commission in a road accident.
Hisbah is the law enforcement arm of the shariah law.
Garba Ibrahim, the FRSC Sector Commander, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the accident occurred on Tuesday at Gada Biyu in Tudun Wada Local Government Area.
Ibrahim said that 12 passengers were involved in the accident in a Toyota Hiace car with registration No. KN 29 C37, belonging to the state government.
He said that 10 injured passengers were taken to Tudun Wada General Hospital, while the deceased were taken to the mortuary.
