Former England manager Glenn Hoddle is still in a serious condition after his collapse but “responding well” to treatment in a London hospital.
The 61-year-old star collapsed while working at BT Sport studios on Saturday.
This update on Mr Hoddle’s condition came on Saturday evening through his spokesman.
He added that the former midfielder was with his family.
The new statement said: “Earlier today Glenn collapsed at the BT Sport studios. He received immediate medical attention on set and was subsequently transferred by paramedics to hospital in London.
“The condition is serious but Glenn is currently receiving specialist treatment and responding well.
“Glenn’s family are with him and would like to thank everyone that has sent their support. They have also asked for their privacy to be respected at this time.”
Mr Hoddle began his playing career with Tottenham Hotspur and also played for Chelsea and Monaco.
In his illustrious time on the pitch he won 53 England caps before managing the team from 1996-1999.
He then went on to manage Southampton, Tottenham and Wolverhampton before becoming a TV pundit.
