Nigeria has again slipped five places to 67 spot in the monthly ranking of world football governing body, FIFA.
The Super Eagles, who failed to qualify for the AFCON 2017 in Gabon, amassed only 534 points in April, which far short from its previous 547 points.
The Samson Siasia-led team surrendered AFCON after failing the Pharaohs of Egypt test in Alexandria.
On the continent, Nigeria are ranked 14th behind Algeria Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, Tunisia, Congo DR, Guinea, Congo, Cameroon, Morocco and Mali.
The Eagles will play two friendlies against Luxembourg and Mali next month in Europe.
